The Girl is Yappin'

Big Week in the Thrash household. Haze found her hands and her voice! It has been pretty hilarious to hear what she has to say.

Oh the bow... I can't get enough of it... huge fan. Mark dressed her in this outfit and I must say, that dad's got quite the style. Lil' hippie flare right there.
Hazel recently made friends with bulldog Phyllis. The real Phyllis is still about 5 years out in the Thrash family plan.

The wrinkly buns, leg rolls, and the mini-mullet... so much to be proud of.

And here she is- such a big girl, sitting up for the first time in her new Bumbo that Grandma got her today. She loved it... for about 4 minutes.

Always an adventure around here. Mark and I find ourselves cracking up with each new development. We can watch her for hours. We're loving these awesome moments with our lil' babe.

Oh the College Days

So Mark and I just hosted our first major rager at the Thrash house: 16 college students spent two nights over New Year's for our Summer Staff Reunion. They were the kids we worked with at Woodleaf this summer... such a fun and creative group of individuals that love each other and love Jesus. It was a rough turn around coming off of a week in Albuquerque and trying to get a two-and-a-half month old to stay quiet till 10am, but totally fun.

We spent a freezing afternoon on the beach at SanO for the outta-staters.

Then New Year's Eve we had an "M" party in honor of Mark turning 29 finally. Here's the Mexican Mujer and Marlboro Man.

Here's the whole crowd... Mickey Mouse, Mother Theresa, MILF, Monster, musician, Mad Cow Disease.......pretty nutty bunch.

Oh, and Hazel got her first piercing.............. just kidding Grandma!

Alby '08

Our lil' elf did awesome on her first-ever plane flight. She just stretched it out and relaxed.
Nothing like being home in the mountains of Albuquerque for a white Christmas.Hazel was spoiled by Grandma Den and Papa Jim with all kinds of fun stuff. Now she just has to learn how to play!Papa Jim even got her a jump start on her new piggy bank with some rolled coins.Karsyn Grace, Hazel's self-proclaimed "best girl cousin", had a good ol' time taking care of this real life baby doll. She just turned 5 and is more of a mama than me! She was all about holding her, helping to change her diapers, giving her a bottle... talk about a babysitter. My friend Mandy once told me the best kept secret is home-schooled jr. high babysitters cuz they're super mature and super cheap. I bet an even better kept secret is the 5-year-old sitter.
